KEITH
ANDREWS
Keith Andrews is a visual artist living in Calgary, Alberta. His inspiration is the majestic scenery of the Canadian Rockies, teeming with wildlife year-round.
His spark of creativity was kindled by his parents, who gave Keith “The Art of Robert Bateman” in the mid-80’s.
"I must have spent hundreds of hours combing through that book. I knew it was my true calling."
Keith spent most of his early years imitating the work but never finding his own voice.
"I felt like I was copying someone else's style. I knew what I wanted to say, but not how to say it".

CHRISTEL
LANGAN
I'm Christel, a BFA artist driven by curiosity and experimentation. My work evolves through deeply exploring subjects, creating multiple pieces within a theme to understand texture, colour, and mark-making.
Currently, I'm exploring limited colour palettes in oils and acrylics, which has revolutionized my understanding of secondary COLOURS and mixing. Still life captivates me. The elevation of everyday objects reminds me of Mary Pratt's luminous jam jars and Lily Rose Burgess's transformative works.
Encaustic painting fascinates me as both A sculptural and painterly MEDIUM, connecting to one of art's oldest traditions. My portraiture work draws inspiration from artists like Degas and Chuck Close, while my students continually inspire new directions, like my mixed media explorations influenced by Justina B. Smith.
In my animal portraits, alcohol inks help me capture their vibrant personalities with bold, lively colours.

THE STORY
'In gratitude we find the gold'
This painting is a gentle invitation to pause, to breathe, and to witness the quiet beauty that surrounds us.
A weathered piece of driftwood rests peacefully on dappled sand, sun kissed by the soft glow of the setting sun - reminding us that life's richest treasures are not found in noise or luxury, but in stillness and presence.
This painting captures the gold light of gratitude itself showing us that when we slow down, long enough to simply be, we discover the quiet magic of the moment.
Peace, beauty and fulfillment are waiting for us - not somewhere far away, right here.
Within the quiet spaces of our hearts.
